Some TrevorCopter strips

Meet some of the supporting cast of TrevorCopter: Agent Dan Hawke, FBI agent and constant buzzkill; Picard, Trevor's faithful butler; The Rubester, President and Trevor's BFF; The Vice-President, a secretive man who seems to be up to more than he lets on; Matilda, the VP's loyal secretary; Ava Kyle, femme fatale and figure from Trevor's past; Dr. Neil Monkey, a mad scientist who is at the heart of this story's mystery; and the mysterious “???,” whose origin will be a major part of this storyline and who will become an integral part of the TrevorCopter universe. This is the start of something wonderful, so hop in and enjoy the helicopter ride.

Another one...

Sometimes, it is a wonderful thing to be unable to sleep :)

Just some late night drawing...

Character Designs - Jesus

Finishing up a comic today about Jesus and the GOP. But before I post that, I wanted to share these character designs for the character. All were hand-drawn, then edited in Photoshop. Comics to come later today.

The Complete A@L (as of 12-9)

And here are the most recent comics from Attorneys At Law. All comics are also being posted on http://restoringtruthiness.org/ (which you should be reading!)
BONUS - TWO ADS FOR A@L

TrevorCopter - THE FIRST 13

Here are the first 13 strips of TrevorCopter. The current official count is 18 (23 if you are my friend on Facebook), but the story has a natural break here, so it felt right to just go to 13 for this collection. Enjoy! TrevorCopter

New Stuff

I have three blogs that I use for my comics. This one, Attorneys At Law and TrevorCopter. A@L and TC have their own purpose, but this blog has really become redundant since all the stuff I have been doing really only applies to the work being done on the other two. So where does that leave this? I have decided to make this my all purpose blog, where I will be posting EVERYTHING. That means that anything that appears on the other two blogs will also appear on this one as well. It's the highlight reel, if you will. All comics will posted in their respective places and then also posted here. So, keep an eye out for all things TREVOR and enjoy!

Attorneys at Law

Teddy the Bear will now be the home of my new political cartoon, Attorneys at Law. I made two small ads to show what type of strip this is going to be. STAY TUNED!

The New 52

If you read comic books, then you are probably aware of the impending NEW 52, DC's relaunch of its entire line of comic books. With this huge event coming, DC Comics has been throwing around various press releases and video ads. One of those was a script for a radio ad, which would offer a huge discount for retailers. The owner of my now former comic book store (I just moved) approached me about making a YouTube video for the radio ad. I said HELL YEAH! and this is the results.

The Cupcakery of DOOM!

Alright, got a NEW comic for people to read. This was the first one I have ever done (even before Fenton & the Genie). And now, it is digital and on the web. Here is the book. Enjoy!

The Cupcakery of DOOM

F&tG COVER

You might not realize it, but Fenton & the Genie has been edited a few times in the past week. Please check out the slight changes in the posts below. BUT... you should also take a gander at the slick new cover. I rather enjoyed making it.

Fenton & the Genie (SPREAD VERSION)

I have been doing some more uploading onto Scribd and I wanted to post another version of F&tG, this one being a SPREAD VERSION. I don't know why I am capitalizing that, its not a thing. Really just a way of saving a PDF on Adobe inDesign. But anyway, you'll understand once you see it.

History Comics PART 2

And this set of comics is actually a six page mini. The best way to explain it would be to include the quote the precedes it in the History Journal.

The positive testimony of history is that the State invariably had its origin in conquest and confiscation. No primitive State known to history originated in any other manner.

Albert J. Nock

History Comics PART 1

Before I call it a night, two more posts. The first post is about the comics I did a few months ago for the SSU History Journal. The Soldier comic is probably one of my better strips and definitely my favorite of the bunch.

NEW BANNER

I am just a sucker for collages. New Banner to commence what will be a new era in Teddy the Bear and all those other shenanigans

The Spread

Until I can figure out how to pick and choose which pages are published as double page spreads, the two page picture will remain just that: two pages. But as a special treat, I've included the original version and the one that is included in the book.

Fenton & the Genie

So, it has been a long while since I have posted. For those who have read the comic only on this blog, I apologize. Most of the Teddy work was done in the Sonoma State newspaper and was very SSU-centric (more than the comics from the past). But for you, the reader of this blog, that just means that you get to jump ahead and see what has become of my work over the past eight months. And it is this, my first comic book entitled Fenton & the Genie. I have one more book, but that needs a little touch up, so for now, the first in a new series of Pirate Monkey Productions. I present Fenton & the Genie! The PDF is embedded, but you can feel free to download it as well.

Exquisite Corpse

Just wanted to share a piece I just finished for an Exquisite Corpse project. The premise of an Exquisite Corpse is that there are some story points and an over arching theme and the pieces come together as a patchwork of sorts, connected but not. A writer will produce a page, which is then sent off to an unknown artist. I was both a writer and an artist. Hopefully, I will be able to show the page for my words soon, but for now, I have the page I drew myself from someone else's script.

The things that I had to work with were:

Main character - Henry
Must feature a staff or tree branch (a wooden tool basically)
Theme - transformation

This is the page I drew

A taste

As promised, I am working on some longer stories. Here is a taste of what is to come.

ATM

No, not "ass to mouth" (at least that is what I think about when I see ATM because of a week of sifting through pornography at my old job at a video store), but rather, AT THE MOMENT.

I haven't posted to the blog in almost two months. That isn't to say that Teddy is on a hiatus. Just life (like it does for everyone's hobbies) has gotten in the way as of late. After going to Comic Con and talking to people there and past conversations, the importance of regular posting was always stressed. Now, I am wholly unaware of who reads this blog (especially since all the people I know read it when it is posted on my Facebook), but I would like to keep up on regular posting, even if it is to inform the unknown masses that there won't be a strip. Luckily, I have some backlogged stuff that very easily be put on the site (and will be).

AT THE MOMENT though, I am just kinda catching my breath from living these past few weeks, as well as attempting to break Teddy into a new form. There are plans for the future that need to get under way within the next two weeks, so posting may get in the way. But, with school beginning again, that means Teddy is gonna be back on a regular schedule in print, as well as online. But please, if you read the blog, if you are an unknown follower of the strip, please hold on. There are some long stories that are coming up.

With school ending this year for the last time (fingers crossed), the time is nearing for something to get moving with the strip, in some form. So, that means there are various projects that are underway to ensure that Teddy and company get to live on after the 2010-2011 school year. Please stay tuned and be aware that I ache when Teddy isn't updated in the timely manner that I promise.
