Long story short, I got fired last month. It sucked, but I also hated my job, so it was kind of a wash. But anyway, that weekend, I got a little notebook that I decided was going to be dedicated to my strip TrevorCopter. Over the next month, I'll be posting sketches from that notebook. The first one I wanted to share was the logo for ARMOR, the SHIELD-esque organization that some of the characters were working for in my full page sketch that I posted all last week.

I have this pad of newsprint paper that I haven't drawn on in a WHILE. Considering all the notebooks and loose leaf paper I have, the pad is more of a rainy day kinda drawing space. Another little variation. This is The Rubestar, the president of the USA in TrevorCopter. Though he actually only appears in person once (so far), he is a consistent presence in the strip as part of the background. I recently redesigned him and wanted to show the difference between the two.

Drew this today and decided to do a mini, week-long art project. I just wanted to put together two characters that aren't ever drawn together. Simple and fun! And I just wanted to note that this ASI notepad is currently the only notepad I have to use to draw during work. Hope it doesn't distract from the drawings.

This is what I did with the other half of the paper after yesterday's Teddy sketch. This is Mallory (which I misspelled in the drawing), a love interest for Trevor in TrevorCopter's second story arc, "Exotic Locale Love Story." She is a princess, but this is not revealed to Trevor during the course of the story (and her butler is the character design I use for professional butthole, CSU Chancellor Charles Reed. He SHOULD be a lowly servant).

Here is the final A@L to appear in the University Times. Sadly, this is a re-post comic (though this is its first time in print). But still sad that it isn't original because I'm packing up shop after this quarter and gonna make my go at the big leagues. A@L has seen the last of its print life for a little while. But it will continue on through its various online outlets.

This guy is an old character I wanted to re-draw in my more "developed" style. His name is Farmer Brown and he was the first real attempt at creating something new outside of "Teddy the Bear," which even at an early age, was always the main focus of my artistic life. I am just immature enough to not let "Post 69" pass without making a dirty joke. So this is one of my stand-by dirty "Teddy" comics (and a personal favorite). It's been sitting around for nearly seven years now, but has yet to be published/completed. One day, the perfect opportunity will present itself and this comic will be waiting.

SUPER STOKED about this piece. Don't even care about whether or not it's are funny because, hot damn, it looks good.

Only 300 more days to go (that's rough to hear). Really happy with this piece. This is a mostly digital piece, with only the characters created free-hand (and even they were heavily manipulated). All the rest was done in Photoshop. I've been able to do a WHOLE lot more with Photoshop, so I've been trying to start applying this knowledge to the comics.

Got Netflix this week. It is great and allowed me to re-watch some of my favorite Doctor Who episodes. I drew this when I woke up. It's the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant (To be fair, it was going to be a TrevorCopter drawing. You can tell by the glasses and the pokey hair on the right side of his head).

As promised, the teaser for my 3D movie, which I am doing through our friends at Campus MovieFest.

To give you a little perspective on the project, a writer is having a hard time coming up with a children's story as a result of a bad break-up and the general souring of his worldview. This is one of his aborted stories.
