I finally saw The Hunger Games. It was AWESOME! I sped through all three books and loved them (though I am inclined to agree with the rest of the Internet in saying that the ending is weak/rushed/unearned, but fitting). Anyway, this picture is clearly inspired by Hunger Games, except for Anton, the Bad Ass Unicorn. He's from my time at my junior college, College of the Redwoods, and he guarded my Dream Journal.

A MILESTONE! 25 just like ME! Well, usually, 25 is a milestone because is 1/4 of the way to 100. But we're going to 365 and this is only 1/14 or 6.8% of the way there. Yeesh. Anyway, I finally seem to have cracked the code to my Teddy History/Plea for Education comic, so that is going to be what I do tonight (on top of some stuff I am obligated to do). And, if you look up about 5 inches, you will see that this is the new banner as well. Like I said, its a milestone.

I like these. Just did some quick editing on the Swamp Thing comic. I looked at it and realized how off the original design of Swamp Thing was. Head was too big, too much forehead/left side. Body was comically small and made Swamp Thing look off-balance. The first time I drew Swamp Thing was over a month ago. All I had with me was a magazine and a green pencil. Swamp Thing was the first person who popped into my head when I thought about who I could draw. I really liked what I had come up with and decided to use Swamp Thing in a comic at some point. The new design more closely resembles my original. And just as I finished the new revision, I decided that I wanted to have a visual of what had changed. So I made the last piece for that purpose.

I've been cheating. Hell, I'm cheating right now. Last week sucked something awful. I made it through, but completely dropped the ball on posting to the blog. Just completely in a funk, so I didn't get to posting. I fixed that by fake posting every day. Cheating, but I felt it was alright this one time.
I DO want to make a point that I was drawing through the whole week. Except for today cause I slept through the whole day. This is the Teddy Timeline and the first part of a comic that I can't seem to write.

An oldie, but a goodie (and my current state of being). This is from a book I have been planning for years now titled Shittiness is Fourth Place. It depicts various ways in which "shittiness" can happen and will be in the style of Happiness is a Warm Puppy by Charles Schulz. Don't worry. Like all stories, this one will have a happy ending.

 I tend to re-use ideas, or rather, I don't let ideas die. I can be obsessive about things that really stick with me, the things that excite/inspire/enthrall me. Hell, I am this close to doing an idea for the fifth time (the Facebook joke). So, I have slightly mixed feelings about this comic, only because I did it once before as an art project. But that was for fun and practice, instead of a comic, so it gets a pass.
